Every person has their favorite actors and their most favorite movies. We may disagree on who is best or which movie is better but we all know what we enjoy. There are some incredibly talented actors out there and there are also some very good looking actors. A few fit into both categories. And there are also the actors who've used their notoriety and fame for more than only a movie but additionally to promote philanthropy and help the world.
A number of people might not even remember that Tom Hanks began on the absurd but funny TV show called "Bosom Buddies". It became surprising to see the depth of his talent since it emerged throughout his career, with such inspiring roles as Andrew Beckett, a gay lawyer who became infected with AIDS in the early days of the disease and also the hardships he faced as he was fired from his conservative law practice due to the fear. That role brought Tom Hanks his very first Academy Award in 1993.

This worthy cause found positive results.
There is certainly an execllent actor who is not with us but his memory lingers on. Paul Newman passed on September 26, 2008 but he's fondly appreciated for his roles in many great movies including "Road to Perdition" in 2002, "The Color of Money" in 1986 and "Absence of Malice" in 1981. One of his greatest and most memorable roles came in 1969 as Butch Cassidy in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid".
Indeed, Paul Newman had numerous great roles but perhaps his greatest and especially outstanding accomplishments came from his philanthropy efforts. In 1982, he and a business colleague he made a line of food products known as "Newman's Own". First there was salad dressing and these days there are pasta sauce, lemonade, popcorn, salsa, cookies and much more. However the remarkable thing is that Newman declared that all the profits from the food line company after taxes would be donated to charity, including his own "Hole In the Wall" camps for sick children. As of early 1006, Newman's Own had donated in excess of $250 million to worthy charitable causes throughout the world.
